More than Words

Words is London’s literary festival celebrating all things wordy: books, poetry, song, children's literature, writing for the screen and stage, new media, spoken word performances and much more. This year, Words will feature emerging and established writers from London, Canada, and beyond, showcasing new works and provocative ideas to spark debate and ignite the imagination. November 4 - 6, 2016.

Looking to channel your inner-geek? Then you will need to look no further than the annual Forest City Comicon. It’s a “celebration of nerd culture like no other” and the largest event of its kind in London. In partnership with Project Play, Forest City Comicon features costumes, vendors, panels, board games, and video game tournaments and many special appearances! November 5 & 6, 2016.

And They're Just Getting Started

Since 2013, the business community has come together to celebrate our city’s rising stars. The 20 Under 40 is an Business London Magazine's annual cocktail gala event that celebrates and awards our Forest City young professionals whom have achieved an elevated standing in their chosen fields far beyond their years. It’s a great opportunity to learn more and to cheer on 20 shining stars who stretch the boundaries and make London just a little bit better. November 10, 2016.

The Heroes We Deserve

Did you know that we have over 1,800 nonprofits and charities and over 80 social enterprises in the London area? Pillar Nonprofit Network represents over 340 of these organizations and the Pillar Community Innovation Awards is a celebration of those who make our community stronger, more inclusive and more collaborative. This inspiring evening brings together over 700 of London’s most engaged community members to celebrate the people making positive change in our city. November 23, 2016.

Off to See the Wizard

Young and old are invited to come home for the holidays with the all-time classic The Wizard of Oz in this enchanting adaptation from the imagination of one of Canada’s most innovative directors, Rick Miller.  With all the timeless music and memories from the Oscar-winning movie score, Dorothy and her friends take us on a journey along the yellow brick road as never experienced before!  This is the perfect holiday show, reminding us that there is no place like home. The show runs from November 23 to December 31.
