The season is upon us…

Festival season that is! Come June, the parks and streets of London, ON are a hustling, bustling array of arts, culture, music, and community. We all know that Victoria Park becomes the bumping epicenter of festival magic in the Forest City, but there are plenty of other locations that can be visited and enjoyed in the summer months. There are the biggies, and there are some smaller, newer, but no less fantastic festivals to visit, and believe us, there’s certainly something for everyone!

Let’s take a look through all the things to see and do this year, all over London.

London Dance Festival (June 29-July 1)

The London Dance Festival celebrates all things community with performances and workshops in various styles at different venues in the city. It’s all about originality and innovation while exposing audiences to the art of dance. You don’t have to be an aficionado to enjoy this festival, there’s something for everyone and all are welcome!

Trackside Music Festival (June 29-July 1)

Calling all those country fans! The Trackside Music Festival hits Western Fair on Canada Day weekend. Whether you’re the biggest twang lover or just enjoy a great party, consider getting your tickets, stat. For two full days, some of the biggest names in country music will be right here in town so don’t miss your chance to get in on the good times.

Canada Day Celebrations in Harris Park (July 1)

From 11am to 11pm on July 1, London’s Harris Park will be full of life and love for this country. Get out there for live entertainment, delicious food vendors, interactive games, a 19+ beer garden, and more… plus fireworks! It’s always a great time and a great way to celebrate this nation’s birthday.

TD Sunfest (July 5-8)

Now having become one of London’s (and the country’s) favourite festivals, Sunfest will once again bring the sounds, sights, and tastes of the world to London, ON. Listen to world-renowned musicians, enjoy a plethora of tasty food options, check out the local craft beer garden, and submerge yourself in all things multicultural. You’ll be very happy you did.

Building Better Fest II ft. Joel Plaskett (July 6)

Brought to you by Building Better and Life of Leisure, this festival is in support of the Chippewas Sustainable Living Project and takes place in the heart of OEV. Enjoy local, organic beer, vegetarian-friendly food options, tons of live music that’s capped off with Canadian fave Joel Plaskett. If you’ve ever been to a festival or party at Life of Leisure, you know full well it’s always an incredible time and this fest is sure to be the same!

Rock the Park Music Festival (July 11-14)

It simply wouldn’t be summer in London without a trip to Rock the Park. As per usual, this year’s lineup is stacked during the four days of non-stop musical magic. Some highlights include The Lazys, Cyndi Lauper, Boyz II Men, and Rise Against amongst many more. Get your tickets asap and see what it’s all about in London’s Harris Park.

Pride London Festival (July 19-29)

Pride London Festival is one of the most energetic, colourful, and loving periods of time in this city. For the last two weeks of July, join us in celebrating and uniting the LGBT+ community through events, performances, parties, and of course, the parade! Get out your rainbow stripes and throw on some glitter because it’s time for pride to shine!

Home County Music & Art Festival (July 20-22)

As London’s longest-running summer festival, Home County gets bigger and better every single year. With a full three days of the best in local, national, and international folk artists, tasty food options, and plenty of local artisans, this festival is great for the heart and soul. Now, Home County is venturing into its 45th year so it’s sure to be better than ever!

Latin Gastronomy Festival (July 21)

Get those taste buds ready because it’s the third annual Latin Gastronomy Festival! On July 21, head over to Budweiser Gardens for some traditional (and delicious!) Latin cuisine along with live entertainment, activities, and drinks.

BTW, in case you don’t get your fill of delicious this day, check the Colombian Day Festivalat the Covent Garden Market on July 22 for more tasty treats, folklore, traditional dance, and more!

London Ribfest (August 2-6)

It won’t be long before you can enjoy one of London’s most delightfully gluttonous festivals… Ribfest! Going down for a four-day stint in August at Victoria Park, check out the best of the best from the BBQ world. As always, top contenders will be there, you’ll have the opportunity to vote on your fave, check out live music, drink craft beer, and bask in summer’s golden hour. Done and done!

Forest City Beer Fest (August 10-11)

In its eighth year of operation, Forest City Beer Fest has become London’s premier celebration of craft beer. Look forward to several craft breweries from all over the province as well as many food vendor options, all taking place in the south parking lot at Budweiser Gardens.

Pawlooza (August 18)

It’s almost here! Canada’s CUTEST festival, Pawlooza. Join more than 25,000 people and over 6000 dogs for a day of sun, fun, and frolicking, all in support of ARF Ontario and Leads Employment Services. Come on out, on International Homeless Animals’ Day to show your support and take in that utter K9 beauty.
