If you're a Twitter user and new to London you'll be thrilled to know that the city has an active and engaged Twitter community. We could fill three or four of these blogs with all of the awesomeness but we'll start with the best connector accounts - follow these babies and you'll find all of the best of London and get connected to all the the best Twitter users in the city.

  1. #ldnont - Ok, we're going to cheat right off the hop here, this isn't a Twitter account and neither is the next one but you can't find all the awesome stuff happening in London without the city's official hashtag.
  2. #ldnent - the entertainment hashtag for London. It's still pretty new and not everyone uses it for every event but still a great place to find bands, shows and more.
  3. Blackfriars Bridge - One of our city's heritage landmarks and it's about to undergo a major overhaul. An anonymous citizen has started up a Twitter account to recognize this very special crossing over our Thames River.
  4. Talbot Street Bridge - Another landmark but not for the same reasons as Blackfriars Bridge, this one eats trucks. This one's on here for a chuckle.
  5. Evil London Train - London, trains run through it. Parody account. A part of our city's heritage that causes consternation for motorists.
  6. Paul Roedding - We don't have many people on this list but you should definitely follow Paul for some of the most beautiful photography in the city.
  7. Reforest London - London is historically known as The Forest City. These fine folks are doing their best to energize all Londoners to plant trees to make our city a more beautiful place.
  8. London Environmental Network - a rallying point for Londoners concerned with the environment. More than just talk, they're making things better.
  9. Urban League of London - An umbrella group for London community and neighbourhood groups. If you want to get involved in the community this is a fantastic place to start.
  10. City of London - The official account of the Corporation of the City of London. Road closures, emergency alerts, meetings of committees and city council ... it's all here.
  11. London Police Services - Our local police service. Want to know how the police are making London a better city? This is a great place to get a peek.
  12. ACO London - The London branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario, protectors of our built heritage.
  13. Vintage London - A look back in time. Vintage London brings all of the best photography and stories of our city's past and puts them into a great feed. Highly recommended.
  14. Joan Sam - We only have two individuals on this list and both are photographers. Joan takes contemporary photos of some of the most beautiful heritage homes in London.
  15. Morrissey House - Looking for a great place to hang out with friends over a pint and great food? Truly passionate about food, beer and community. Also, one of London's best Trivia joints on Monday.
  16. Milos' Craft Beer Emporium - Milos has a passion for craft beer that you won't find in many places in this city. Follow for all the latest beers on tap.
  17. Toboggan Brewery - Speaking of craft beer, this joint is part brewery and part restaurant and totally a great place to nag out with friends. 
  18. Anderson Ales - A great new addition to the craft brew scene in London and a gem on our Old East Village.
  19. Forked River Brewing - London's first craft brewer and a great source of information on local and regional craft beer events. 
  20. London Brewing Coop - Worker-owned. Locally grown. Totally awesome.
  21. Stobie's Pizza - London's most famous pizza joint and they give away free pizza every day. Follow and watch for your name!
  22. Goodah Gastro Truck - A food truck serving London's best grilled cheese. It's seriously unbelievable. Follow along to see where they'll be today.
  23. Bifana Boys - Portuguese fusion food truck. Simply yum. Follow along to see where they're hanging out today.
  24. City Council - Most of London's city council is on Twitter and the folks at Pints and Politics have a great list so you can follow them all with one click.
  25. Women in Politics - A group working to engage and increase the participation of women with politics in the city.
  26. Unlondon - If you're looking for folks passionate about using technology to make London a better place then these are your peeps.
  27. TechAlliance - Looking to connect with technology firms throughout London and the region? You need to know TechAlliance.
  28. London Tech Jobs - This one is pretty self explanatory. All the latest gigs and all the fastest growing companies.
  29. WCT London - The London chapter of Women in Communications and Technology. A fantastic place to meet other women in the tech sector.
  30. Maker Bus - Have a blossoming little hacker in the family? Education hidden inside a whole lot of fun.
  31. Pillar Nonprofit Network - If you're looking for personal and professional development events in London you need to follow Pillar. Their website also has one of the best databases of volunteer opportunities in the city.
  32. London Free Press - London's daily newspaper with lots of local, regional, national and international coverage. 
  33. AM980 News - Great Twitter resource for local news, traffic and sports.
  34. Our London -  For folks looking for more intimate coverage of Londoners and the city.
  35. Budweiser Gardens - London's largest sports and entertainment venue. Home of the London Knights and London Lightning.
  36. London Music Hall - This place has great acts performing every week. Bands, old and new, and much, much more.
  37. Grand Theatre - A cultural icon and a team of people committed to producing live, world-class theatre. Be sure to watch for events at their McManus Stage as well for performances from up and coming theatre groups.
  38. Palace Theatre - Community theatre at its finest. A gem in our Old East Village. 
  39. Wolf Performance Hall - London's best venue for film festivals, speakers series and much more.
  40. London Public Library - The heart of our community. Much more than a place to check out books they have great digital collections of music, movies, TV, and you'll find events of all kinds happening in their branches every day of the week.
  41. Attic Books - Books of all kinds for sale here but undoubtedly the best resource for books on the history of our city and our region.
  42. City Lights - This is a place that has to be experienced. Their Twitter account is a bit like their shop with a little bit of everything.
  43. London Cycle Link - Advocates for improving London's cycling infrastructure.
  44. London Bicycle Cafe - Coffee shop, sweet bicycles for sale, and outspoken cycling advocated. 
  45. London Inc Magazine -  A great window into the community's people, businesses, and events.
  46. LEDC - The London Economic Development Corporation is tasked with attraction and retention of business in the city. A one stop shop for news and events in the business community.
  47. London Fuse - London's a digital arts & lifestyle online magazine. This is the first place to go when you're looking for cool things to do in London.
  48. Downtown London - An awesome resource for everything that's happening in the heart of the city.
  49. London Arts Council - London has a thriving arts scene and the LAC is one of the best places to find all about our local performers, artists and more.
  50. London Poetry Slam - The slam is an event unlike anything else in the city. It has to be experienced to be appreciated. Even is poetry isn't your thing we recommend checking this out.
